Repast following Interment at Grace Missionary Baptist Church 3742 E. 131st Street Cleveland, OH 44120.

Barbara Etta Woodard Haggard

affectionally known as Bobbie

Born November 10, 1935, in Water Valley, Mississippi to Fincher and Eugenia Woodard.

Barbara was the youngest of six children: Maud Mae, John Wesley, Willie Rone, Mable Lynn, and

Annie Ruth.

The greater part of her school years was spent in The Cleveland Municipal Schools, graduating from John Hay High School in 1953. Barbara also attended Baldwin Wallace College majoring in business.

Barbara was lovingly admired by many for her kindness and graciousness, which no doubt attracted the attention of Paul Timothy Haggard Jr. This developed into a beautiful marriage on January 25, 1955.

From that beautiful union they were blessed with 2 children: Paul Timothy Haggard III November 9, 1956) of Utica, Ohio and Jenai Marlana Haggard (July 3, 1959) of Howard, Ohio.

Barbara’s love for people and community inspired her to run for and gained the elected position of State Central Committee Woman, which identifies concerns and issues related to the neighborhood that   affect the local community and works to address those concerns.

As a winning power team, Paul and Barbara embarked upon a campaign which won Paul a seat on the Cleveland City Council from 1966-1974.

Barbara also worked for the Ohio State Lottery as a State Representative of sales and management, retiring in 1996.

Barbara accepted The Lord Jesus Christ at an early age, she attended Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio and Church on the Rise of Mount Vernon, Ohio.

She was a committed and loving Christian women who loved God, and adored gospel music. She used her gift of compassion for her family to inspire and support them on their life journey.

Barbara was preceded in death by; (Father and Mother) Fincher and Eugenia Woodard (Her loving Husband) Paul Timothy Jr. (sister) Maud Mae, (brother) John Wesley, (brother) Willie Rone, (sister) Mable Lynn.

Barbara is survived by: (Sister) Annie Ruth: who states “she was not only my sister but was my very

best Friend”, (Son) Paul Timothy, (Daughter) Jenai Marlana (brother-in-law) Terry Chesney, (Sister-in-law) Annette Chesney, (Granddaughter) Chelsea Neighbarger, (Great Grand Son) Amari Crisp (Nephew) Russel Purnell (Nephew) Bernard Woodard and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
