Robert Jerome Johnson (known to family as Jerome and to friends as Robert) was born the fourth oldest child to Linnon and Emma Jean Johnson on October 12, 1959 in Levy (County), Florida. As a young child, he relocated to Cleveland, Ohio where he lived until his passing on August 12, 2025. He attended Cleveland Public Schools and gained multiple trades through his employment. As a diligent employee, Robert worked for various companies utilizing his many talents and skills which included; auto mechanics, plumbing and machinist. Robert had a big heart and was always willing to help someone in need. He enjoyed life celebrating with family and friends and he loved to fish. Robert was preceded in death by his; grand-father James Holloway; mother Emma Jean Johnson; father Linnon Johnson; sister Celeste Renee Hall and brother Robert Leon Johnson. Robert leaves to mourn; his daughter and son-in law, Latisha Nicole (Jason) Smith; son Robert Copeland; grand-children Jabron and Kauper Smith; grand-mother Mary Holloway; siblings Leonard and Charles Holloway, Barbara Smiley, Shmurah Harrell, Linda and Daniel Johnson; his children’s mother and friend, Cleatrice Copeland (Cle); and host of nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
