Ms. Vivian K. Fitzgerald

Vivian Kay Fitzgerald was born on August 5, 1950 in Gadsden, Alabama to the union of the late Robert Louis Donerson, Sr. and the late Vera Kay Donerson. One sister, Marilynn preceded her in death.

Vivian grew up and received her education in Cleveland. She graduated from Jane Addams High School where she had exceptional success in coursework related to dietary and nutrition.

Vivian held several positions before beginning a thirty year career as an officer with the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department.

At an early age she was baptized at Holy Trinity Baptist Church and accepted Christ into her life.

She had a great love for her kitties- “Boee”, “Staree”, “Bootsee”, “Luckee” and niece “Shellie”, and her late bird, Miss Tweetee

Vivian leaves to cherish her memories, son Michael Fitzgerald, daughter Mikeena Fitzgerald; brothers, Haywood (Katherine) and Robert Donerson; sister Marva Donerson; two nephews, Haywood Jr. and Keary Donerson, one aunt Anita Penman; a  host of cousins and other relatives; Special friends, Willie Jones, Thelma Davis and family, work colleagues, and neighbors and friends on East 129th Street.

Vivian, your physical presence will be missed but God’s comforting thoughts and words to us are: “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”              -Isaiah 26:3

Vivian passed away February 11, 2014. Funeral service Thursday, February 19, 2015 11am at funeral home. Family will receive friends at 1030am. Public viewing Wednesday, February 18, 2015 10am-7pm at funeral home.
