My relationship with Mrs. Katie Smith began when she played a leadership role in the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) Program at Epiphany Parish located in the southeast area of Cleveland, many years ago. I participated in the program and I was fully initiated into the Church. Katie provided encouragement and guidance and she served as a wonderful example of how to live my faith as a Catholic. Katie also mentored be as I trained to become a lector at Masses at Epiphany. My husband and I both considered Katie to be a great friend.
We will forever cherish her friendship along with her joy and laughter.
