Passed away December 6, 2021. Dear brother of Bernard. No viewing. Memorial service Saturday, December 18, 2021 11am at Sanctuary Baptist Church, 4004 E.131st.
Mr. Kevin Leon Shealy departed this Earth on December 6, 2021 at the young age of 60, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his mother Beverly Smith and father Andrew Smith. Kevin was born November 20,1961 in Cleveland, Ohio. Growing up he was a fun loving, positive person. Kevin excelled in playing basketball
during his high school career and then proceeded to graduate from John Marshall High School class of 1979.
As an adult Kevin was gainfully employed through various companies in and around Cleveland, OH, until he relocated to Phoenix, AZ for a short period of his life where he also attended college.
Upon returning home, Kevin was diagnosed with a mental illness that we today know as Paranoid Schizophrenia. However, he did not allow this to define him or keep him from being active in family holiday
gatherings and birthdays. Kevin lived with his brother in the Mt. Pleasant community for the past 17 years. Kevin was very well-known and liked by the HP gas station management and members in the community, even though they called him Joe. Kevin was his own man, he was honest about his vices and straight forward about what he wanted you to know, and what he would or would not do! Kevin was a true social butterfly and willing to work odd jobs for an honest dollar. Also, an avid sports fan of all the local teams. Kevin leaves to cherish his memories with his loving brother Bernard Shealy, nieces Tyria Wickliff & Euary Hutson, great niece Camaiyah, great nephews Carlton Jr. & CaVaughn, Aunts Viola Reese, Barbara Dickens and Gayle Hunter, host of cousins and extended family members, and a half-sister Kelley Robinson.
“Your presence we miss, your memories we treasure, loving you always,
forgetting you never.”
