Obituary

And death dismissed an angel from Heaven and the invitation was put beneath his pillows and it read “My child you are tired, weary and worn and now it is time for you to come home.”

Clyde closed his eyes and accepted the invitation and went home to be with his Creator on December 8, 2022. Clyde accepted Christ at a young age. He attended Cleveland Public Schools and later joined the Army and was honorably discharged in February of 1969. He later became an employee of the Shaker Heights Public Works Department where he worked until he retired.

Clyde was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Arthur and Bucia (Thomas) Kirby. He was preceded in death by his sister Carmetta Dunn (Robert -deceased) and brother Arthur Kirby (deceased).

He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted son and daughter-in-law Zino Kirby (Veronica), of Cleveland, Ohio, a longtime companion Barbara Cornelison and her children Autumn and Jonathan and one granddaughter Khari whom he loved as his own. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephew and other relatives. As well as lifetime friends Betty Wallace, Rufus Wallace and “Big Jim” Jimmy Croom.
