I met Mr. Turk back in 2013. I highly admired and respected this man. He was putting in his time at Cuyahoga Hills Juvenile Correctional Facility being an asset to the youth and the staff. Everyday he was soft spoken, well dressed, and extremely smart. He always said hello young man to me. We always had very interesting conversations. I believe that he had a long and very good life. He will be missed by all who knew him. My sincerest condolences to this great man’s family.

I taught with John for 15 years at Cuyahoga Hills Boys School. We worked under difficult circumstances at CHBS, but I never knew John to back down from a challenge. He was a respected colleague. My condolences to the family.

“Turk” as you were fondly called at the Hills. Turk you were definitely a stand up guy who always gave the young men we came in contact with encouragement and skills on what it meant to be a man 👨. It was my honor to have met you. A stand up guy you were. My prayer is GOD will keep his loving arms around your family during this difficult time. Rest on Turk and let the work you have done speak for you.
