Rev. Gant Baptised me at Second Mt. Carmel Baptist Church at the age of 7 years old. I served with the Ushers and was in the choir (The C.D. Gant Ensemble, under Sis. Eleanor Queener or Queenie, as she was known). It was the teachings and being at this church, which my grandmother joined straight from arriving from Alabama, and my cousin, Inez Hill was a member before Rev. Gant became the Pastor, until she called home at age 96, Member until she went home. Rev. Gant was a wonderful influence in my life. May you receive your heavenly reward, Mighty Man of God! Thank you! My prayers go out to the family, God Bless you all at this time

Hebrews 13:8 “Don’t forget about your leaders who taught you God’s message. Remember what kind of lives they lived and try to have faith like theirs. Hebrews 13:7 (CEV). I will always remember you as my first Pastor. I will remember you offering Christ by always quoting Romans 10:1, 9-10. I will remember you getting “happy” and doing a little dance. I remember you always threatening to “whoop your hips” if a child got out of line. I will remember you always. To the family “blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4. Members past and present are praying for you in these difficult days, weeks, months and years ahead. May your memories allow you to reflect, rejoice and remember this life
Minister Grethel Davis
My condolences and prayers to the family.
James Stallworth
Reverend Charlie Gant was a very good friend of my father, the late Reverend James Stallworth and my brother, the late Reverend Leon Stallworth. We would share in anniversaries over the years. It was a great time to be with people who knew the Lord.
Our thoughts and prayers are with family and the entire family of the Second Mt. Carmel Baptist church.
May God be with you until we meet again…

Pastor Gant was a great man. I would look forward to him closing out my dad’s anniversary. When my father passed I was able to go in my parents phone book and get his advice on some thing. I knew he would give me some good advice and he did. Pastor Gant was a man of honor and will me greatly missed
Morris Russell Jr.

To the Family
I’m deeply sorrowed to hear about the lost of Dr. Gant but we know that our lost is heaven gain, because to be absent from the body is to be present with the LORD. May the God almighty always keep you in his loving care as you move forward.
