Obituary

Willis “Bill” Williams was born on January 11, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio. The oldest son of four children born to Marian Williams Prince and James Prince whom he was preceded in death.

Bill attended Cleveland Public Schools where he completed his formal   education.  After high school he joined his dad’s concrete and asphalt company and later established his own company where he enjoyed creating and designing parking lots, driveways and other construction projects throughout the greater Cleveland area.

He became the father of six children, Electa, Duvall, Anna, Robert, Marian and Michael.

On July 29, 1989 he married Belinda Hughes (whom he was preceded in death) and became stepfather to her four children, Darrell, Terry, Robert and Barbara.

Bill was a man with no filter, he said what he felt and did not sugar coat anything. He was the life of the party and never disappointed to provide a good laugh. Even in bad times, he was sure to make you feel better. He was very protective of his kids and his brothers and sister.  His direct and honest opinions made everyone he touched in life, family and friends, love him that much more.

In his final days he wanted nothing more than to be around his family and friends. He asked to get the family together for an early Thanksgiving, which included taking family pictures.  During his last days, in his earthly presence, he had everyone laughing at jokes he continued to share even though his physical presence was becoming harder for him to endure.  We all made sure he continued to be happy and loved until the very end. This was made obvious by the number of people who came daily to visit and the love and attention bestowed on his every request.

On December 10, 2020, Bill made his transition to his eternal resting home.  To cherish his memories, Bill leaves his children, Electa, Duvall (Sarina), Anna, Robert (Tiffany), Marian and Michael (Vanessa). His siblings, Minnie, Adam and Carl (whom he was preceded in death); Eight-grandkids, Duvall, Brandon, Jaiden, Jakarri, Ty’janeya, Mia, Makayla, and Mariah; One-greatgrandchild, Bryson; five nieces, Schinika, Carleasa, (Lavar), Tracyann, Minnie and Latasha; four nephews: Rechard, Adam, Carlyle and JaCarl as well as countless family members and friends who all loved him dearly.
